A social network is a social system comprised of persons (or organizations) named "nodes," which are linked (connected) by one or more specific types of interdependency, such as friendship, family relationship, mutual interest, financial exchange, dislike, intimate relationships, or relationships of beliefs, knowledge or prestige.
In its simplest form, a social network is a map of all of the related ties between all the nodes being analyzed. The network can also be utilized to measure social capital -- the value that a person gets from the social network.
OK Enough of the technical explanation!!!
The friends that you can make are simply among the numerous benefits to social networking on the internet. A separate one of those benefits includes diversity because the web gives people from all over the globe access to social networking websites. This signifies that although you're in the U.S.A., you may create a internet friendship with somebody in Europe or Asia. Not only will you establish brand-new friends, but you just may learn a thing or two about other cultures or new languages and learning is always a superb thing.
A lot of people nowadays are on at least one social networking site such as Facebook, Twitter, Friendster or others. Many individuals have signed up for these websites for one of two reasons: to connect with friends and family, or to network.
My experience with social networking is that you can make many wonderful new friends, advertise your business to make money and learn from all of the people that you interact with. SWOM ('Super World of Marketing') is one of my favorites and another one that is upcoming is called Aaachoo! SWOM is alot of fun and you can make some money while you are learning and making friends and business contacts.
It's up to you. There are many of these sites to choose from. So do your research and pick the one (or 2, 3, 4, 5 etc...) that interests you the most. Whatever you decide to do ...have some fun, enjoy yourself.
