While standing or sitting, clench your thighs and glutes as hard as you can. This is a popular technique to tone and strengthen the backside, but it will also give your upper legs a nice workout.
Deliberately choose parking spots farther from the your destination so you have to walk a bit more. Or run errands on foot when you can. Climb the stairway rather than the escalator or elevator.
